Can Greenshot add numbered markers for tutorials?
Use text labels or supported numbered labels to correlate screenshots with written steps.
How to do it on Windows
Use text labels or supported numbered labels to correlate screenshots with written steps. Before changing capture or export settings, save any important existing work and check the Windows notification area for a running Greenshot process.
- Step 1. Capture a screen with the relevant sequence visible.
- Step 2. Add 1, 2 and 3 labels near the controls in the order users should click.
- Step 3. Place matching numbered instructions in the article and export.
How to verify the result
Numbers should be readable and aligned with the written sequence. Check the actual image file or open capture result instead of relying only on a successful shortcut animation. If the expected output is missing, repeat the task with a known local folder and the tray-menu command.
Common limitation or mistake
For repeatable troubleshooting, record your Windows version, Greenshot release, capture mode and chosen destination. Changing one setting at a time makes it easier to identify which adjustment helped.
